Jeong Ho Lee
Chief Scientific Officer Sovargen
Prof. Jeong Ho Lee is a KEPCO Endowed Chair Professor at KAIST and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of SoVarGen. He is internationally recognized for pioneering research on brain somatic mutations (mosaicism), investigating genetic mutations arising in neural stem cells and their progenitors that contribute to neurological disorders such as epilepsy and brain tumors. His work has reshaped understanding of how somatic mutations in the brain drive disease and has helped establish the conceptual framework linking mosaicism to neurodevelopmental, neuropsychiatric, and neurodegenerative disorders. Based on these discoveries, he co-founded SoVarGen, which develops RNA-based therapeutics and diagnostic technologies targeting neurological diseases caused by somatic mutations.
